StagePlayer quick start: from order to opening night
Short answer: 1) Order your scenery from Broadway Media. 2) Download StagePlayer free from broadwaymedia.com/downloads. 3) Sign in with your Broadway Media account. 4) Click Download on your show. 5) Connect the projector as an extended display. 6) Rehearse with the watermarked version. 7) When the license period starts (normally the four weeks ending with your final performance), the watermarks disappear automatically.
Step by step
- Order early. Rehearsal material is available from two days after your order, so ordering early gives your team time to learn the software. Orders are placed with Broadway Media. Downloading your show can end your refund window, so read Purchases, refunds and cancellations first.
- Note your sign-in details. Your delivery email has them. The same email and password work for your Broadway Media account and StagePlayer. To set or reset a password: Reset your StagePlayer password.
- Install StagePlayer on the computer you'll perform with. See Download and install StagePlayer.
- Download your show. In the Library, click the green Download button. See Download your show.
- Connect your projector. Use an HDMI cable (or CAT6 with HDMI adapters beyond 50 feet) and set the display to extend. See Extend your display to a projector.
- Customize and rehearse. Changes are optional; the show already matches the official script. See What you can edit in StagePlayer.
- License period begins. The license period normally covers the four weeks ending with your final performance. When it starts, StagePlayer switches to the un-watermarked version on its own. Nothing to do.
- Run the show. See Present your show and Operator controls.
