Rehearse before your license period (watermarked scenery)

Short answer: You can rehearse before your license period starts. From two days after you order, you can download watermarked rehearsal scenery and use it in StagePlayer. The content is otherwise identical to the final version. When your license period begins (normally the four weeks ending with your final performance), StagePlayer switches to the un-watermarked version automatically.

Applies to: StagePlayer 2.x (current release) on Mac and Windows · Last reviewed: October 17, 2026

What's different during rehearsal

  • A watermark appears over the scenery.
  • The green button says Preview instead of Present.
  • Everything else, including editing, works the same.

Use the rehearsal period to

  • Learn StagePlayer with your operator
  • Test your projector, brightness and color
  • Plan lighting, built scenery and blocking around the projections
  • Make your edits on the computer you'll perform with
