Export your show to QLab (Professional License)

Short answer: You need a Professional License and QLab 5. StagePlayer can't add to an existing QLab workspace: open a new, blank workspace, click Open with QLab in StagePlayer, and enter the passcode from QLab's Network → OSC Access settings. Keep StagePlayer running while you use QLab.

Applies to: StagePlayer 2.x with a Professional License and QLab 5 · Last reviewed: October 17, 2026

Requirements

Steps

  1. Install the latest StagePlayer (it replaces older versions).
  2. Open StagePlayer and click Download on your show.
  3. Open QLab 5 and create a new, blank workspace.
  4. In StagePlayer, click Open with QLab. A passcode prompt appears.
  5. In QLab, click the gear icon (lower right) → Network → OSC Access and copy the passcode.
  6. Enter it in StagePlayer and click the green Confirm button.
  7. Your scenery appears in QLab, already programmed. Add lighting, sound and other cues there.

Tips

  • Keep StagePlayer open in the background. If you close it, the projections disappear from QLab after a few minutes.
  • If a video cue flashes black at the start, turn on QLab's Auto-load for that cue.
  • QLab ports are under Application Settings → Advanced → QLab Incoming Port / QLab Outgoing Port (Professional License only).

Can I add the scenery to my existing workspace?

No. Export to a blank workspace first, then build the rest of your show in that workspace.
