Outputs, display mode and zoom

Short answer: Open Application Settings → Outputs to add outputs (up to five) and center the Output window. Under Display, choose Constraint, Stretch to Fit or Scale to Fit, and use Zoom Options to zoom toward the center, top, left, right or bottom. Scenery is 16:9, so screens with very different shapes will distort or crop.

Outputs

Setting What it does
Output 1 Always on; can't be disabled
Center Window Centers the Output window on its screen
Prepare Adds another output (up to five)
Virtual Output Combines several outputs into one picture across projectors. Still in development in 2.x; test with the Demo Show before relying on it.

Assign cues to outputs in Show Settings → Configure Displays. Cues can go to all outputs or selected ones.

Display mode

Mode Result
Constraint Keeps the 16:9 shape
Stretch to Fit Fills the screen; may distort
Scale to Fit Scales to fit; may crop or leave bars

Zoom

Pick a pin-point (Center, Top, Left, Right, Bottom), then slide left to zoom out or right to zoom in. Zooming often affects transitions; check them afterward.

Line up the projector

Tools → Test Patterns shows a grid, colors or grayscale on the output while you adjust the projector's focus, keystone and position. The pattern stays only while you're on that page.
